A weekend of nature connection activities

In May 2025, we set up camp on the Raakajilm conservation property in the Mallee of north-west Victoria: Latji Latji Country.

Our weekend included:

  • meditation and bodywork with Rhae from Regenerative Communities,

  • delicious dinners from local produce around the campfire with Deb from Floodplains and Food,

  • a presentation from Will Hannah, a First Nations elder who is well known in the Mallee for his honest, moving and sometimes pretty funny stories,

  • drawing with nature with local artist, Win Moser

  • a night-time walk (no torches!) with the Mallee Night Watcher

  • yoga with Irina from IBAerialAndYoga

  • planting our wetland with local plants with Damien from Wetland Revival Trust

  • and two nights camping under the stars …

A huge thank you to planning, organisation and execution by Regenerative Communities.

Supported by a Community Grant from Mildura Rural City Council.

Thanks to Rhae at Regenerative Communities for organising this event (and for the beautiful images used here). I love this description of what they do:

Creatively regenerating people and place

We bring together communities using a holistic approach to foster collective wellbeing, increasing potential for rural and regional towns to thrive.

This event was hosted by Regenerative Communities and is supported by the Mildura Rural City Council Community Grant Program.
