Regent Parrots

During the Winter "Birds on Farms" survey on Raakajlim for BirdLife Australia, we often see Regent Parrots. We are lucky enough to see Regent Parrots every day on Raakajlim, but it is nice to see them during the 20-minute, 2-hectare survey so that they are included in the data.

Regent Parrots are super-fast when flying and are locally called "Smokers". They are listed as threatened under Victorian and Federal legislation.
